The arils consist of juicy, brilliant, –red fruit surrounding tiny, crisp, edible seeds. Pomegranate is native to a region from Iran to Northern India. It has been produced throughout the Middle East, South Asia, and Mediterranean region and thrives in the drier climates of California and Arizona.
